Happy New Year Kindergarten Families!
We are off and running as we begin 2012. We have been working with patterns and we are revisiting measurement as well as introducing addition through games. In Literacy, we have been working on beginning/ ending sounds of words, recognizing letters, and beginning to read sight words. We are rhyming and sounding out words to put into print. Any reinforcement that you can do at home helps your child at school!
Here are a few reminders:
1. Please return blankets/ pillows for rest time if they were brought home during break.
2. Please send in snack money each week if you have not done so.
3. Book orders will be going home, and your child will be signed up for one free book from their teachers.
4. Please help your child dress in layers and bring in a hat and gloves/ mittens every day.
5. Please help your child complete their homework and remind them to bring it in each week!
6. Banking takes place each Wednesday, if you want to participate please make sure to send in a deposit with your child.
